An injection-molded plastic kit of the Royal Navy frigate HMS Montrose (F236) in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter. It is a full-hull model with a well-broken-up hull and superstructure; the box contains photo-etched sheet and a shipboard helicopter. The model is meant to be assembled, painted and displayed on a stand.
HMS Montrose is one of the Type 23 frigates, a class named after British dukes and also known as the Duke class. They are multipurpose ships focused on anti-submarine warfare, fitted with guided missiles, a gun and a shipboard helicopter. HMS Montrose was launched in the first half of the 1990s and served with the Royal Navy.
Glue the hull with thin plastic cement and clean the joints carefully. A primer undercoat, painting with an airbrush and bringing the decks to life with a wash and a dry brush are the answer. Glue the photo-etched railings and antennas with cyanoacrylate, and the cockpit of the helicopter can be glazed from the clear parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
