A resin, 3D-printed detail set from Reskit in 1:72 scale. The package contains one American jamming pod (an electronic warfare pod), the AN/ALQ-71(V)-2, also known under the designation QRC-161-1. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for the external stores with an accurate shape of both the body and the antennas.
The AN/ALQ-71 is an American pod for jamming enemy radars that guided surface-to-air missiles. It found its widest use during the war in Vietnam, when it was carried under combat aircraft of the US Air Force and the US Navy, for example the A-4, A-7, F-4, F-100, F-105 and RF-101C.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and the print supports and sand them with your airways protected. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer, paint with an airbrush and bring out the fine antennas and detail with a wash.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the basic model are not included in the package.
