P-47N Thunderbolt mask 1:48 from Eduard is a die-cut masking set in kabuki paper for cleanly painting the canopy frames and the wheels of a Republic P-47N model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A self-adhesive masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Republic P-47N Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale. It is neither a model nor a decal but a set of precisely die-cut masks in yellow Japanese kabuki paper, which make it easy to paint the frames of the glazed canopy and other areas sharply.
The mask covers the frames of the canopy, so that after spraying the glass stays clean and the frames get their paint with sharp edges. Circular masks for the wheel hubs, which simplify painting the tires and the rims, are usually included. This version masks the outside of the canopy.
Degrease the areas first. Lift the masks carefully off the sheet with tweezers and press them precisely onto the frames, pressing the edges down with a toothpick against paint running under. Spray in thin coats and lift the mask off while the paint is still fresh. Kabuki paper can be shaped into curves without trouble.
