1:48 RF-4B Phantom II EXPERT kabuki masks

RF-4B Phantom II 1:48 kabuki masks EXPERT, New Ware

This is a masking set, not an aircraft kit. The set from New Ware holds pre-cut self-adhesive masks of fine kabuki tape for the reconnaissance version of the Phantom, the RF-4B Phantom II, in 1:48 scale. The EXPERT level is the most complete one: it covers the canopy glazing from the outside and the inside, deals with the frames and the colored canopy sealant, and adds masks for further clear parts, for the wheels and as a rule for the external position lights and surface details as well. The masks are shaped for a specific kit of this type in this scale.

Use

• Degrease the clear parts before masking and let them dry, or the mask will not hold.
• Pick the mask out of the sheet with tweezers, seat it along the frame and press it down all round.
• Spray the cockpit interior color and the sealant first, then the primer and the covering camouflage.
• The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim, so you can spray the rim on its own.
• Take the mask off once the finish has set, not after it has cured completely.

Who the set is for

For modelers who build the RF-4B Phantom II in 1:48 scale and want to mask everything, including the inner face of the canopy and the fine surface details of the long nose of the reconnaissance version. EXPERT is the top level above BASIC and ADVANCED.

An accessory for the model, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. Work in a ventilated area when spraying and use a respirator.
