A decal sheet in 1:48 scale from Print Scale with markings for Russian Air Force aircraft lost during the fighting in Ukraine in 2022. It is not a kit but an accessory that gives a finished model a specific unit and specific markings. The Part 2 designation means a follow-up part of a series the manufacturer is releasing on this subject in installments.
The sheet is intended for helicopter models in 1:48 scale. Check the exact types shown, the number of schemes and the size of the sheet against the illustration on the packaging. The subject is purely documentary: the decals capture the markings of particular machines in a particular time frame, so the sheet suits modelers who follow modern subjects and want to place a model in a documented situation rather than build a generic aircraft with no unit.
Decals hold only on a smooth, glossy surface. Spray the painted model with a gloss clear coat first and let it harden thoroughly. Trim each decal as close to the artwork as you can, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it soften on the backing paper; move it with a brush or tweezers and add a drop of water so it can still be slid into place. On broken surfaces use a decal softener so the carrier film follows the engraved lines and the rivets. Finally blot the excess water away with a cotton swab and, once everything is dry, unify the whole model with a matte varnish that hides the edge of the film.
