A finely cast resin set of landing gear wheels for models of the Swedish SAAB 37 Viggen fighter in 1:48 scale. It replaces the standard plastic wheels with more faithful castings with a sharper tread pattern and fine relief on the hubs. The wheels are cast for the Viggen kits from Special Hobby, Tarangus and Esc.
Landing gear wheels are very conspicuous on a model. Resin castings have a cleaner tire profile and finer hub detail than the standard plastic; some sets also make it possible to suggest a light load, that is, deformation, on the tire.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and clean them up. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. We recommend painting the tires a flat dark gray, the hubs in metallic shades, and weathering them lightly with dust and mud; masking the tread will help toward a clean spray.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the kit are not included in the package.
