This set in 1:48 scale is a package of several accessories from the Czech manufacturer Eduard that brings pre-painted interior and exterior improvements for a model of the Sea King HU.5 helicopter together in one whole. It is not a helicopter kit but a set of details with which you lift an existing model to display standard with a minimum of painting.
The core of it is a pre-printed colored instrument panel with faithful dials and placards, completed by steel seat belts. A self-adhesive mask for spraying the glazing frames crisply and resin landing gear wheels with a realistic tread pattern are also included. The parts only need cleaning up, cutting from the casting blocks where necessary, and fitting in place.
Glue the resin and photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue; for the glazing and the colored panels use canopy cement instead, which does not fog clear surfaces. Apply the mask to a perfectly degreased finish. The metal belts gain depth after a light pass with a dark wash.
The set contains accessories only, not the helicopter model. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
