A photo-etched seat belt set from Eduard in 1:48 scale in the STEEL version – from pre-colored steel sheet. The set reproduces the pilot belts of Soviet fighter aircraft of the Second World War period and is usable across models in this category. Steel photo-etch holds its shape better and allows a faithful sag of the straps. It is not an airplane model but a universal accessory for the cockpit.
Soviet fighter aircraft of the Second World War covered many types, from wood-and-metal structures to all-metal machines. Their cockpits were usually simply equipped and the seat belts matched the period pattern. A universal set therefore helps to sharpen the interior of most of these machines in the given scale.
The pre-colored steel belts are fitted to the pilot seat. Thanks to the steel material they can be shaped into a realistic sag. Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a cutting surface and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; even the color out only gently, as needed.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a stand-alone model. It requires a matching base kit, which is not included in the package.
