1:48 Sikorsky UH-60A is a set of Eduard masking stencils for the glazing and the wheels of a model of the well-known transport helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
Die-cut masks of thin masking paper cover the glazing of the pilot cabin and of the cabin for the troops. Eduard cuts them exactly to the shape of a particular model, so measuring out and cutting tape directly on the part is no longer needed.
The UH-60A came in at the end of the 1970s as a replacement for older machines of the US Army and quickly spread over the whole world. It carries a squad of soldiers, lifts a load on an external hook, and its rugged structure was designed from the start so that the crew would survive a hard landing. Characteristic of it is the extensive glazed area, thanks to which the crew has a view forward and downward. That area, however, means a lot of work when building a model.
Lay the masks on perfectly clean and degreased glazing and seat the small parts with tweezers. On a helicopter it pays to work from the large front panes to the small side windows. Once they are on, go over the edges with a blunt tip so that they adhere everywhere. Lay the paint on in thin coats and take the mask off while the finish is still young. This type of mask covers only the outer side of the glass; if you want the frames visible from inside the cabin as well, reach for the variant intended for both sides.
It is sold separately, and the helicopter model is not included in the package.
