1:48 Sikorsky UH-60A TFace is an Eduard masking set that covers the glazing of the helicopter from the outer and from the inner side.
Responsibility details are not available.
The TFace marking means that the sheet contains two sets of shapes: one for the outer surface of the glazing and one for its reverse. The frame of the cabin can therefore be sprayed in the camouflage shade from outside and in the interior color from inside.
On a helicopter the glazing is so extensive and so transparent that the cabin is visible from every angle. When the frames are painted only from outside, bare clear plastic shows through the glass and the illusion falls apart, especially if the model has open doors or a worked-up interior. Masking on the inside removes that difference and at the same time keeps overspray out of the cabin. The price for that advantage is longer work, but on large panes the result justifies it.
First lay on the inner set and spray the interior shade, and only then fit the part into the fuselage. The outer masks come in turn once the cabin is closed, so that they line up exactly with the frame. Between the two stages let the paint dry thoroughly. When lifting a mask, pull it steadily to the side rather than straight up, and the edge will stay crisp. If double-sided work seems needless to you, a simpler variant for the outer side only is also made.
The contents are a masking sheet, and the kit has to be bought as well.
