This is a resin detail set from the Eduard Brassin line in 1:48 scale. It holds a complete cockpit for models of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter aircraft, filled out with photo-etched parts. It is not a kit of an airplane in its own right but a replacement interior, with which you will replace the cockpit from the box with a more faithful and more richly detailed rendering - the instrument panel, the side panels, the seat, the levers and the frame are worked out markedly more finely than in injection-molded plastic.
The cockpit is visually the key place on a model of a fighter, above all with the canopy open. The resin set offers crisp details and the depth that plastic will not reach, and with photo-etched elements (for example the seat belts) the cockpit comes across realistically. The set is intended for models of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX in 1:48 scale.
First wash the resin parts clean of the mold release agent in warm water with detergent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the surfaces with protection of the airways. Glue the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and the photo-etched elements as well. Before the build check that the cockpit seats in your particular kit, and adjust the seating if needed.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package. The package holds no decals.
