A resin set from the Aires brand in 1:48 scale, intended to raise the detail of a plastic kit of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc fighter. This standard corresponds to the late state of the gun bay in the wing. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory. The set makes it possible to open the gun bay and show a faithful internal arrangement with cast parts.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX was among the capable variants of this British fighter of the Second World War, with the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. The designation c refers to the type of wing with the corresponding armament arrangement, whose execution developed during production.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. Paint the open gun bay with an airbrush and bring out the details with a wash and a dry brush so that the relief shows. Cut the panel out of the wing carefully.
This is an accessory for a kit. The aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
