Turned metal cannon barrels, Hispano 20 mm in fairings, for the Spitfire Mk.IXc (late version) in 1:48 scale – suited to Eduard kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of two turned metal Hispano cannon barrels of 20 mm caliber in fairings for the late version of the wing of the Spitfire Mk.IXc in 1:48 scale. The set is tailored to Eduard kits. The Polish manufacturer MASTER turns the barrels from metal with faithful geometry, so the fitted cannons look markedly more realistic than plastic moldings.
The Supermarine Spitfire was a British fighter of the Second World War and one of the best known aircraft in history. The Mk.IX version was among the most successful and with the c type wing it carried mixed armament including a pair of Hispano cannons of 20 mm caliber, whose barrels protruded from the leading edge of the wing in aerodynamic fairings.
Cut the plastic barrels off the kit and replace them with the metal parts, glued in with cyanoacrylate. Take care over the alignment and the correct seating of the fairings in the wing. The metal surface holds paint once primed; carry the fine parts with tweezers.
This is not an aircraft model but a metal accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
