This is a metal detail set, not an aircraft model. The package contains fine static dischargers (static wicks) of the type used on modern Russian Sukhoi fighters, in 1:48 scale – 12 pieces plus 2 spares. The metal version accurately captures the thin protrusions on the trailing edges, which are practically impossible to make realistically in plastic, and is far more durable.
Static dischargers are small rod-shaped wicks on the trailing edges of the wings and tail surfaces that bleed static electricity off the airframe. This type matches Sukhoi-family aircraft such as the Su-27, Su-30, Su-33 and Su-34.
Drill small holes at the discharger locations and glue the metal parts in place with cyanoacrylate glue. Fit them only at the end of the build, so they don't get bent while you're still handling the model. Work with tweezers and good lighting.
An add-on for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
