A set of self-adhesive kabuki masks in 1:48 scale for a model of the two-seat trainer and combat version of the Sukhoi Su-17UM3 Fitter-G fighter-bomber. It is the basic level of the New Ware range (BASIC), which covers the outer faces of the glazing, the wheels and possibly other transparent parts. It is not a kit or decals but an aid for crisp and quick masking while spraying camouflage.

The real subject

The Su-17 was a Soviet jet fighter-bomber with a variable-sweep wing. The two-seat UM3 version served both for training and for combat tasks and was widespread with the air forces of the Soviet bloc and of other countries.

Use

• Place the mask on clean, degreased glazing and press it down along the frames.
• Apply the paint in thin coats, so that it does not seep under the edge of the mask.
• The wheel masks will separate the tire from the disc while painting.
• Once the paint has dried, take the masks carefully off and clear windows remain.

Who the set is for

The BASIC level is intended for those who want to mask the outer glazing and the basic transparent parts quickly and economically. Suited to an intermediate standard and to modelers who do not need masking of the inner faces of the cabin.

These are painting masks, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
