A set of photo-etched metal parts in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. This is not an aircraft kit but a refining accessory aimed at the outer surface of the airframe. It is meant for models of the Su-24M bomber in the Fencer D version.
The Sukhoi Su-24 (Fencer in the NATO code) is a Soviet and later Russian tactical bomber with a variable-geometry wing. The crew consists of two men seated side by side. The aircraft is meant for penetration strikes at low altitude in any weather; the Su-24M version brought modernized avionics and wider options for using precision munitions.
The parts are separated with a sharp knife, bent over an edge or in a bending tool and glued with cyanoacrylate or varnish. The fine grilles and flaps come out well after a wash and shading are applied. Degrease the metal surfaces before painting.
The accessory comes as a separate photo-etched set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
