Eduard 1:48 Su-27UB ejection seats is a resin set of ejection seats for a model of the two-seat version of the Su-27. An accessory for a kit, not a model of an aircraft.

A resin set of ejection seats in 1:48 scale for a model of the two-seat version of the Su-27 combat aircraft. It is not a kit but a cockpit accessory: the castings replace the plastic seats from the box with a part with defined padding, straps and mechanism, which an injection mold cannot manage. Because the two-seat version has its cockpits in tandem and both are clearly visible under the glazing, the detail of the seats shows markedly on a finished model. The set belongs to the Brassin resin range of the Czech brand Eduard from Obrnice near Most.
The Su-27UB is the two-seat combat-capable trainer version of the heavy Soviet Su-27 fighter. A second cockpit was inserted behind the original one and the fuselage and vertical tail surfaces were modified for it, so the machine can be told from the single-seat version at a glance by the higher spine behind the cockpit. The aircraft kept its combat capability and is used for training on the type as well. The seats of both crew members are of the same type and both are visible on a model.
Wash the parts in warm water with a drop of detergent, so that the mold release agent is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surfaces wet with sandpaper, with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the seats and add a wash before gluing them into the cockpit, as in a finished cockpit a brush will no longer reach them. Check dry whether the part sits down between the side walls of the cockpit; the original molded lugs usually have to be sanded off the plastic parts. Bring the straps out in a shade different from the body of the seat, otherwise they will merge into it.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
