The real subject

The Sukhoi Su-9 was a Soviet single-engine all-weather interceptor with a delta wing from the Cold War era. It served with the air defense forces and its main armament consisted of air-to-air missiles; the radar was housed in the movable intake cone. It was among the first Soviet supersonic interceptors of its generation.

Tips for working with resin

First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond the lights with super glue (cyanoacrylate); for a glass effect the face can be coated with clear varnish. Test the fit dry before painting.
