Precisely die-cut self-adhesive painting masks from thin washi (kabuki) tape for a model of the Sukhoi Su-17/22 M3 or M4 in 1:48 scale. The EXPERT level is the most complete — besides the canopy glazing including the frames and the inner sides it also contains masks for the wheel hubs and small features. The masks are stuck on before spraying, protect the glazing and other surfaces and peel off cleanly once dry. It is not a model but an accessory for painting.
The Sukhoi Su-17 (Su-22 in export form) is a Soviet fighter-bomber with a variable-geometry wing. The M3 and M4 versions are among the later modernized renderings of the Fitter type.
Carefully lift the mask off the backing sheet, lay it on a clean surface and press the edges down thoroughly so that paint does not seep under them. Spray thin coats and remove the mask before the paint has dried completely, for a sharp edge. Once lifted, washi tape leaves no adhesive residue.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. Neither the kit nor paints are included in the package.
