1:48 Sukhoi Su-57 Frazor camouflage pattern

SX-Art 1:48 masks for the camouflage of the Su-57

An accessory for aircraft modelers in 1:48 scale from the brand SX-Art. These are pre-cut masks with which you create a camouflage scheme with sharp transitions on a model of the Russian Su-57 fighter aircraft without having to fill it in laboriously with tape. The model and the paints are not included in the package. Filling a broken-up scheme in by hand takes hours and the result tends to be uneven, while a pre-cut mask shortens that work markedly. The mask also keeps the same shape on both halves of the model, which can practically not be repeated freehand.

The real subject

The Su-57 is a Russian fifth-generation fighter aircraft with two engines and internal weapons bays. In the code designation assigned to the type by NATO it carries the name Felon. The camouflage schemes of the prototypes and of the production machines differed markedly, from dark pixel patterns to combinations of gray and blue-gray areas, so the choice of scheme decides the final look of a model.

Use

• first spray the model with the base, that is to say the lighter color of the scheme
• stick the masks onto a perfectly dried and degreased surface and press the edges down
• spray the second color in thin coats perpendicular to the edge of the mask
• take the mask off while the paint is dry only to the touch
• correct small leaks with a brush before varnishing

The set is intended for modelers who want sharp transitions of the camouflage. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
