A set from the SPACE line in 1:48 from the Eduard brand for models of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.II fighter. It combines three-dimensional pre-colored decals with relief for the instrument panel and the side panels with pre-colored etched seat belts. The result is a strikingly realistic cockpit with no need for laborious painting. It is not a kit: it is for finishing a model bought separately.
The 3D decals have a genuine raised structure and full colors, so once applied the instruments and panels look three-dimensional and convincing. The etched belts are pre-colored as well and only have to be folded and seated in the cockpit. The set is designed precisely for the interior shape of the given type of model.
The 3D decals are applied from the moistened backing paper onto a clean surface; we recommend working with tweezers. Fix them with PVA glue (white glue) and do not use a decal softener, as the chemicals would damage the printed resin layer. Shape the etched belts carefully before fitting them. You do not have to shade the cockpit elaborately before assembly; the set takes care of the colors.
The package contains 3D decals and etched belts. The model itself and the paints are not included.
