Responsibility details are not available.
A set of waterslide decals for models of the fighter-reconnaissance Spitfire in the FR Mk. XIVe version in 1:48 scale. This is not a kit – it is an add-on that completes the plastic model of your choice with period markings. The sheets are printed by a process that gives rich color, sharp registration and a thin carrier film.
The Spitfire Mk. XIV was the peak of the development of this legendary fighter – compared with the earlier versions it received the powerful Rolls-Royce Griffon V12 with a five-blade propeller, which fundamentally raised both speed and climb. The FR (Fighter Reconnaissance) version with clipped wingtips and a camera served for tactical reconnaissance. The set offers several interesting schemes from units operating in postwar Germany and in British India, including a machine with striking nose art.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss coat – a matte surface under a decal causes silvering. Cut the item out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and, once it releases from the backing, slide it into place. Fine-tune the position, blot the excess water away and use a softener for perfect adhesion to the engraved detail. Finally, clear coat everything to even out the surface.
This is a standalone decal set. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
