Eduard 1:48 Swordfish Mk.I photo-etched set is a color-printed accessory for the cockpit and interior of a model of the Fairey Swordfish torpedo biplane. It is photo-etch, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This color-printed photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is intended for refining the interior of a plastic model of the British Fairey Swordfish Mk.I torpedo biplane in 1:48 scale. It is not a model and it is not a kit — these are photo-etched metal parts, some of them printed in color in advance (the instrument panel, the seat belts), which fill out the cockpit and other areas with faithful detail.
The Fairey Swordfish was a British carrier-based torpedo and reconnaissance biplane which, despite its obsolete design, played a part in a whole series of key Fleet Air Arm actions of the Second World War, among others against battleships. It earned the nickname Stringbag for its ability to carry ordnance of every kind.
The color-printed areas are not sprayed over and are glued on with a tiny drop of cyanoacrylate glue. The bare brass parts can be toned to match the interior. Make the bends along the etched grooves, work with tweezers and under a magnifier. On a biplane, keep an eye on the order of assembly so that the interior stays accessible.
The accessory is supplied as a set of photo-etched parts. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
