About product

Swordfish Mk.II masking set 1:48

This is a self-adhesive masking set in thin kabuki tape, not a model. The templates are machine die-cut to the shape of the cockpit frames and the glazed areas of the Fairey Swordfish Mk.II biplane in 1:48 scale, so there is no slow business of cutting masks with a knife.

What the set is for

You stick the masks onto the glazing before spraying the paint and you get crisp, accurate transitions between the frames and the glass. On a biplane with extensive cockpit glazing that saves a great deal of time and frustration.

Usage tips

  • Clean and degrease the glazing before sticking the masks on.
  • Press the mask into the corners with a blunt tool.
  • Apply the paint in thin coats to stop it creeping under.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building the Swordfish Mk.II in 1:48 scale.
  • Anyone after clean masks with no cutting by hand.

This is an accessory to a plastic model. The model itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
