Eduard 1:48 TBD-1 Devastator painting masks are precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks for easy painting of the long cabin glazing of the model of the TBD-1 Devastator carrier torpedo bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of Eduard painting masks is intended for the plastic model of the American Douglas TBD-1 Devastator carrier torpedo bomber in 1:48 scale. The masks of thin kabuki film follow the frames of the long cabin glazing exactly, so that you achieve sharp transitions without laborious cutting of tape. It is not a model but an accessory that makes painting one easier.
The Douglas TBD Devastator was an American carrier torpedo bomber of the US Navy. It entered service in 1937 and at the time was among the most modern aircraft of its kind. It entered history above all through the Battle of Midway in 1942, where the Devastator units suffered heavy losses; soon afterwards it was replaced in service by the Grumman TBF Avenger.
Transfer the mask onto clean glazing with tweezers and press it down carefully against the frames. On a long cabin, work section by section. Apply the paint in fine coats with an airbrush and lift the masks off carefully once it has dried.
These are painting masks, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
