A detail accessory for builders of the Soviet BT-7 fast tank in 1:48 scale. It replaces the idler wheel from the kit's sprue and makes the front part of the running gear more accurate. A model of the tank is not included in the package: you are buying a separate part for a build.
On the tanks of the BT series the idler wheel is placed at the front and together with the first road wheel it decides how the track runs and how it is tensioned. Its outline and its lightening holes are among the characteristic marks of the whole series, so they tell on the truth of the running gear a great deal. The smaller 1:48 scale puts the stress mainly on a clean outline and on being in line: detail that stands out in 1:35 is replaced here by an accurate silhouette.
It will be appreciated by modelers who build vehicles in 1:48 scale and want the running gear worked as carefully as the hull and the turret. Fitting is undemanding, but count on working with a small part, that is with tweezers and good light.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and is meant for the build of a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
