A modeling set in 1:48 scale whose name refers to the code phrase from the attack on Pearl Harbor. The manufacturer's instructions give the exact contents of the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
The words Tora Tora Tora are the code phrase that Japanese airmen transmitted over Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 as the message that the attack had been carried off by surprise. The phrase has passed into common use since then, found its way into the title of a well-known film of 1970, and modelers associate it precisely with the first day of the war in the Pacific.
This is a modeling set in 1:48 scale. You will find the exact contents of the package, the number of parts and the choice of marking options in the manufacturer's instructions and on the packaging; follow them for the building and painting as well. In 1:48 scale one meter of the real thing corresponds to just under twenty-one millimeters, so even a smaller single-engine aircraft comes out at about twenty centimeters of span.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions, because they alone match the actual contents of the package. In general, wash and degrease the parts before painting, apply the paint in thin coats and put the masking on before you spray. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder, so that the edges are not damaged. Lay your working area out so that small parts do not get lost. Store the set dry and out of direct sunlight, so that neither the packaging nor its contents suffer.
The item will appeal to modelers who take an interest in the aircraft of the early Pacific war and in 1:48 scale. Paints, thinner, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
