Kelik 1:48 Tornado IDS is a set of printed relief decals for both cockpits of the strike version of the Tornado. Developed for the Italeri kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The two-seat cockpit of the European strike aircraft is among the harder ones to manage: there are many instruments and they are small. The printed set from Kelik gets around the problem, as the print already has its colors and a raised surface finished and it only has to be transferred onto the plastic base. The target kit is Italeri.
The Panavia Tornado came out of a joint program by Germany, Great Britain and Italy. The designation IDS belongs to the strike version with a variable-geometry wing, a pair of RB199 engines and equipment for low-level flight in any weather. It entered squadron service at the start of the 1980s, went through combat deployment in the Persian Gulf and with some air arms served on past 2020. Sweeping the wing allowed the machine to take off from a short runway and also to fly through at low level at high speed.
On two-seat machines it pays to finish both stations before the fuselage is closed. Fit the motif from the center toward the edges and draw the excess water off with a cotton swab, otherwise the film will shift. Press it into the recesses with a soft brush moistened with decal softener.
In the package there are the cockpit fittings, not the aircraft itself.
