Eduard Typhoon Mk.Ib Bubbletop masks 1:48 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the British Hawker Typhoon fighter-bomber. It gives crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is intended for a plastic model of the British Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib fighter-bomber with the bubbletop canopy. It is neither a kit nor a model in its own right, but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage areas without tediously cutting tape by hand.
The Hawker Typhoon is a British single-engined fighter-bomber of the Second World War with a powerful Napier Sabre engine. It came about as a fighter originally, but found its place mainly as an attack aircraft against ground targets, where it carried rockets and bombs. The late versions were given a bubble canopy, which gave the pilot an all-round view.
Degrease the glazing of the bubble canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windscreen and the sliding section, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The masks for the wheels separate the tire from the disc. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at a shallow angle, so that the fresh coat is not disturbed.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
