This is a set of 3D decals from Quinta Studio meant for quick and faithful detailing of the cockpit. It is neither photo-etch nor resin - the individual parts are printed on a decal backing paper, are three-dimensional and already finished in color, so the instrument panel, side panels, levers and belts look realistic as soon as they are applied. The set is designed for models of the Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib in the late configuration. The decal is based on the cockpits of the Typhoon kits from Hasegawa and Italeri.
The Hawker Typhoon was a British single-seat fighter and ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War powered by the massive Napier Sabre engine. It made its name above all as a destroyer of ground targets - with unguided rockets and bombs it played a key role in supporting Allied troops after the Normandy landings. The late Mk.Ib version was distinguished by an all-round bubble canopy.
Degrease the base and run a gloss coat over it (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22). Cut the part from the sheet, soak it for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide it off the paper onto the part of the model; it has no adhesive layer of its own and holds precisely on the gloss coat. Work with tweezers and a sharp knife; on broken shapes a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, their chemicals attack the printed resin. The colored areas can be evened out at the end with a matte coat.
It contains only decals for detailing the interior; the model itself, paints and glue are not included.
