A detail set of the American air-cooled R-1820 Cyclone radial engine in 1:48 scale from Aires. The resin accessory faithfully renders the single-row radial engine with its cylinders, pushrods and accessories and makes it possible to display an exposed engine section.
The R-1820 Cyclone was an American single-row nine-cylinder radial aircraft engine, widely used during and after the Second World War on a range of combat and transport aircraft and later in other machinery as well. It was among the most widespread engines of its class.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and bond with super glue. It is advisable to paint the engine in stages; the cylinders, pushrods and accessories come into their own with color separation and a gentle wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
