A smaller square board from the line of display bases by the Kelik brand. Its print is formed by the circular national insignia of the Ukrainian Air Force together with an inscription in honor of the defenders, as the name of the item records it. The figures of acrylic three millimeters thick, of the dimensions 240 x 240 mm and of the weight 190 g likewise come from the name. The square format matches one machine of fighter size.
A board with an insignia does not pretend to be a particular place; instead it names the whole display case. The viewer sees at once which air force the model belongs to and does not have to decipher the small markings on the fuselage. The circular pattern at the same time creates a calm area around the machine in which the reflections of the painted surface are lost and the outline of the wing stands out. In a collection where machines of several countries alternate, the insignia serves as a clear divider.
Lay the board on a level ground and wipe it only with a soft cloth dampened in water; coarser cleaners will not do the print any good. A drop of clear glue or a little modeling compound under the landing gear wheels helps, so that the machine does not slide and scratch the surface when the display case is moved. Do not stand hot objects on it and do not lean it against a wall, as acrylic works in heat.
