A photo-etched detail set Ventura Mk.II – bomb bay in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model of an airplane but a set of photo-etched parts for a faithful rendition of the bomb bay of the Lockheed Ventura Mk.II bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed photo-etched set from Eduard aimed at the bomb bay of the plastic model of the Lockheed Ventura Mk.II bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory. The set lets you build the bomb bay area with a fine inner structure and details that plastic cannot manage, and so show the model fittingly with the bomb bay open.
The Lockheed Ventura was an American twin-engine bomber and patrol aircraft of the Second World War period, derived from a Lockheed transport type. The Mk.II version served among others with the Royal Air Force and other Allied air forces for bombing and for maritime patrols. The machine was marked by a tough structure and powerful radial engines.
The inside of the bomb bay is made up of several photo-etched layers, which are bent in a photo-etch bending tool and joined with super glue. The matching plastic parts have to be cut away and cleaned up. Paint and weather the bomb bay area before the structure is closed up.
This is a supplementary photo-etched set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
