F4U-1A Corsair painting mask in 1:48 from Eduard: a self-adhesive mask for a clean spray of the canopy glazing and the wheels on models of the American Corsair carrier fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks from the Czech maker Eduard for 1:48 models of the American Vought F4U-1A Corsair carrier fighter. The masks are cut from good masking film (the kabuki type) and serve to mask the canopy glazing and the landing gear wheels. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory that makes spraying the canopy frames and the tires easier and gives sharp paint transitions.
The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War, easily recognized by its inverted gull wing and its massive radial engine. The F4U-1A version brought a raised seat and a modified canopy for a better view, which made landing on carrier decks easier. The Corsair was among the most successful fighters of the war in the Pacific.
Degrease the glazing and apply the masks exactly to the engraved frames. Spray the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge. Lift the masks with a clean pull of the tweezers while the paint is merely tacky. The wheel masks allow a sharp transition between the hub and the tire.
This is a masking accessory, not a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
