1:48 Vought F4U-2 Corsair is a Big Ed package from Eduard with several add-on sets for a model of the night version of the famous carrier fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
Under the designation Big Ed, Eduard brings together several of its accessories for a single model and sells them together: it brings together in one package several sets that are also sold separately. A package tends to be put together so as to cover the main areas of a build: the pilot's compartment, the outer surface and masking of the clear parts. Thanks to that a modeler does not have to assemble an order from several items.
The cranked wing, the long nose and the massive radial powerplant made the Corsair one of the most distinctive machines of the war in the Pacific. The F4U-2 version came about by converting it into a night fighter: a cylindrical housing with a radar was added on the right wing half, and because of it one machine gun was given up. The converted machines served with specialized navy and marine squadrons and patrolled over anchorages and over islands at a time when the day fighters were resting.
Before gluing, try every photo-etched part in its place and make any bend on a jig. Degrease the metal components with alcohol and put a primer under them, and only then paint. Move the masks with tweezers and press them down with a fingernail through soft cloth, so that the finish does not seep under. On the large cranked wing it is good to prepare the parts in stages.
