Resin ejection seats of the VS-1 type for the Aero L-39C trainer and the L-39ZA Albatros attack aircraft in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Aires. This is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory with which you replace the seats from the box with faithfully cast resin parts complemented by photo-etch (belts and small features).
The resin seats have rich detail of the structure, the cushioning and the survival systems that injection-molded plastic cannot reach. The photo-etched belts give the cockpit a realistic, lively look, and the seat is one of the most closely examined details under an open canopy.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and cut them from the casting blocks, and sand with respiratory protection. Glue the resin and the photo-etch with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint and highlight the seats before fitting them into the cockpit.
This is a detail accessory for experienced modelers, not a standalone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
