About product

Eduard 1:48 Z-526AFS LööKplus

This product is not an airplane kit but a combined pack of details (LööKplus) for the kit of the Zlin Z-526AFS aerobatic aircraft in 1:48 scale from Eduard. It brings two things together: the LööK set, that is a pre-painted instrument panel rendered as a colored 3D decal with relief and photo-etched steel seat belts, and in addition resin wheels. The result is a quick route to a detailed cockpit and faithful tires without laboriously painting dial faces.

The real subject

The Zlin Z-526AFS Akrobat is the single-seat variant of the proven Czechoslovak family of Zlin aerobatic and training aircraft. It was created as a special for top-level aerobatics, with shortened wings and an adjusted center of gravity for sharper handling. Machines of this family represented the Czechoslovak school of flying at international aerobatic competitions.

Use

  • The instrument panel: the part goes on as a colored decal with relief, so spraying and painting the instruments falls away.
  • The steel belts: break them out, shape them and settle them into the seat; they hold a shape better than brass.
  • The resin wheels: wash them free of release agent, cut the casting block off and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue.
  • Fit the instrument panel and the belts before the fuselage is closed.

Who the set is for

For builders of the Z-526AFS model who want to lift the cockpit and the wheels without photo-etching the whole interior and without finely painting the dial faces.

This is an accessory to a model, not the model itself. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.

FAQ

A pre-printed colored instrument panel rendered as a 3D decal, photo-etched steel seat belts and resin wheels for the Z-526AFS model in 1:48 scale.

It is not. This is a separate detailing accessory; the plastic Z-526AFS kit from Eduard has to be obtained separately.

No. The panel is colored and in relief already, and it goes on like a decal. Painting the individual dial faces falls away.
