A masking set 1:48 Zlin Z 526 for the long canopy of this Czech aerobatic aircraft. The name gives the version for both sides of the glass.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory to a model of this Czech aerobatic special in 1:48 scale. The set deals with painting the frames of the glazed cockpit, that is the detail on which the care of a builder shows fastest under glossy civilian schemes. It is not a kit or a replacement clear part; according to the name it contains shapes for the outer and the inner side.
The Trener series from Otrokovice is among the most successful Czech aviation products of all. The Z 526 type grew out of it as a more powerful aerobatic form, flew in flying clubs and at championships, and a number of machines have stayed in service to this day. All-metal construction, a slender fuselage and above all a long, drawn-out cockpit canopy give the aircraft an unmistakable look, and modelers a fair portion of narrow frames at the same time.
Before you start, look the clear part over against the light so that you spot fingerprints and dust before you cover them. Civilian schemes tend to be glossy and gloss will mercilessly show every ripple, so take care that the edges sit down. Seat the shapes on a perfectly clean part and press them from the center outward. If the model is to get a saturated color over a white base, apply the base and the covering shade over the same masks so that the edge is not doubled. Take them off before the paint has fully cured.
