1:48 ammunition belt .303 is a belt of ammunition in the British caliber that the machine guns of Allied aircraft of the Second World War carried.
Responsibility details are not available.
A separately made belt of .303 rounds from the 3DF brand. It comes into its own on aircraft models in 1:48 scale wherever the weapon space can be looked into. Neither a model of the aircraft nor the machine gun itself is part of the item; it is an addition to a build already under way.
The .303 designation belongs to the British rifle cartridge fired by Browning machine guns and by the flexible weapons of fuselage positions. The British fighters of the late 1930s built their firepower on the number of barrels rather than on the caliber itself, and the same ammunition stayed in the defensive turrets of bombers long afterwards. Belts led to it from roomy boxes in the wings and in the fuselage.
The space around the weapon tends to be only suggested in plastic, so first check how much room the belt will actually get and only then deal with its shape. Let it follow a smooth curve; a sharp kink gives the artificiality away at once. Keep the shade of the links cooler than the shade of the cases and finish with dark accentuation, which deepens the gaps between the parts. Meanwhile it is better to protect the clear parts of the build around the weapon space; nobody enjoys polishing scratched glazing afterwards.
