A detail set of three period women's bicycles in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Special Hobby. It is not a vehicle model to build, but a scenic accessory for dioramas and vignettes of the first half of the twentieth century. Three pieces in the package make it possible to play out a lively street or village scene around the main model.
In the first half of the twentieth century the bicycle was an entirely ordinary means of transport in town and country alike. The women's frame with its curved top tube was a typical production configuration, and bicycles like that appeared on streets, at railway stations and behind the front. It is exactly small civilian details of this kind that give a diorama authenticity and scale.
Separate the fine parts carefully and clean them up; because of their small size, work with a sharp knife and tweezers. Bond the assembly with super glue. After applying primer, paint the classic black or dark frames, add chrome fittings and suggest use and dust with a light wash and pigments.
This is a detail scenic accessory, not a standalone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and paints and glue are not included in the package.
