You are buying an aid for painting, not an aircraft to glue together. The set covers the glazing and the other places where the finish does not belong, and once it is removed the transitions between shades stay straight and free of jagged steps. Which model served as the basis of the cut can be learned from the abbreviation given in the name of the item. The time saved is appreciated above all on broken-up canopies.
Douglas's small carrier attack machine became famous for its low weight and for the delta wing that did not have to be folded for stowage. The A-4M version was among the last production renditions; it had a more powerful engine and a strikingly enlarged, squarer canopy. It flew mainly with the United States Marine Corps and stayed in the front line until the 1980s.
The enlarged canopy of this rendition has different shapes than the older Skyhawks, so you will not cover it with a set for the earlier versions. Degrease the surface before applying the paint, seat the shapes dry and only then press them down. Spray the paint in fine coats so that too wet a deposit does not get under the edge and create a blurred boundary. It also pays to try the fit as a dry run and only then reach for the airbrush.
