This is a resin (3D-printed) conversion set for experienced modelers, not a standalone model. The set is intended for rebuilding a plastic kit of the twin-engined Bristol Beaufighter in 1:48 scale into the torpedo (TF, torpedo fighter) version for coastal and anti-shipping strikes. It replaces and supplements the parts of the base kit so that they match this specialized variant. It is based on the dimensions of the Tamiya kit.
The Beaufighter was a British twin-engined heavy fighter and attack aircraft of the Second World War. The torpedo version (TF) was adapted for use against ships: it carried an aerial torpedo, and rockets and bombs as well, and it differed from the early versions in details of the airframe. The conversion set makes it possible to build exactly this coastal strike variant from an ordinary kit.
Carefully separate the parts from the print supports, wash the print resin residue off them and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The conversion calls for work on the plastic (cutting away and sanding down the original parts), so wear respiratory protection while sanding and follow the instructions. Always dry-fit before gluing.
This is an accessory conversion set for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
