Decals 1:72 for the long-range Focke-Wulf Fw 190 G-3 version with the werk number 160057. A sheet for a model the builder builds themselves.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet contains markings for the long-range bomber version of the Fw 190 whose werk number 160057 accompanied ferry flights and measurements with the US Navy. The set is intended for decorating a kit in 1:72 scale. Foreign national insignia on a German airframe give a display case a theme that is otherwise hard to find.
The G series was Focke-Wulf's answer to the requirement to carry a bomb as far as possible. Lightening the armament and adding underwing tanks produced a machine that flew noticeably differently from the light fighter version, above all on takeoff with a full load. Captured aircraft were given new national markings and pronounced stripes, because over friendly territory there was a risk of being mistaken for an enemy aircraft and the crews of the anti-aircraft defenses reacted fast.
The small markings of 1:72 will take only a minimum of water. Cut the sheet into individual motifs, lay them on a moistened backing and count off a few seconds. Have the model varnished to a gloss beforehand, or air will be trapped under the film. At the end, unify the surface with matte or semi-matte varnish, depending on how worn you want the surface to look. Rest the model on a soft surface while you work, so that the small protruding parts are not broken off.
