A free-flying aircraft of balsa in the yellow version. It has no motor, no controls and no batteries: the whole principle rests on the throw and on how exactly the model is trimmed. Simplicity is precisely its strength: you take it out of the bag and a minute later you are flying.
Yellow has a practical point on flying models. Against the background of the sky it stays readable even into the light, and in mown grass it does not disappear as easily as dark shades. With free flight this is no small thing: the aircraft lands where the air carries it, and hunting for a lost model tends to take longer than the flight itself. A conspicuous color shortens the search and lowers the risk of someone stepping on the model by mistake.
