A plastic kit in a small scale from the Czech manufacturer Mark I. The name of the release refers to Pierre Clostermann, a French fighter pilot in the ranks of the Royal Air Force, whose book of memoirs was published in Czech under the title Velky cirkus.
The Tempest Mk.V grew out of the Typhoon, but was given an entirely new wing with a thin laminar-flow section and a lengthened fuselage. It was powered by the twenty-four-cylinder Napier Sabre engine, which gave it exceptional speed down low. From 1944 the squadrons flying it shot down flying bombs over southern England and later made strikes against ground targets over the continent. Its armament consisted of four cannons in the wing.
At this scale it is the cleanliness of the joints that decides. Sand the mold parting lines on the fuselage and the wing and fill any seams with thin filler, because on a small surface they are clearly noticeable. The landing gear legs are slender, so cut them off only just before fitting them. Apply the shades in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush, and draw the transitions of the camouflage freehand above the surface.
The package holds unglued plastic parts without a finish. The filler, the glue and the paints are obtained by the customer separately, unless stated otherwise.
