Responsibility details are not available.
The Grumman F-14D Tomcat is the last production version of the American carrier fighter, with a crew of two and a variable-geometry wing. It is told from the older renditions by the pair of sensor pods under the nose and by its reworked avionics. The silhouette stayed unmistakable: a wide flat fuselage between the engine nacelles and two vertical tail surfaces.
A photo-etched metal fret in 1:48 scale from Eduard's production. Photo-etching serves to create on the model the shapes that always come out of plastic coarser than scale would have them: thin edges, grilles, loops, buckles and small panels. Which parts of the model the set covers and where the individual parts belong is given in the manufacturer's instructions. The set is designed for a particular F-14D kit, which the instructions also name.
Have fine tweezers, a sharp blade and a hard surface ready, ideally a piece of glass. Separate a part by cutting its tab; never tear it off. Make the bends along the etched score lines and draw them home with a straight edge or in a bending tool. Try the fit dry first and, if need be, sand the plastic under the part, so that it does not stand above the surrounding surface. Degrease the metal before painting and spray it with a primer for metal; only then apply the covering shade.
The package holds a photo-etched fret according to the manufacturer's listing. The kit, the paints, the glue and the decals are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
