A resin figure of a British aircraft mechanic of the Second World War period in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker CMK. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory meant to bring dioramas and scenes around models of the British Hawker Tempest fighter to life. The figure complements the airmen well and will serve with other Royal Air Force aircraft models of the same period too.
The figure captures Royal Air Force ground personnel of the later stage of the war in working clothing. The fine castings allow a realistic rendering of the uniform and the gear; the figure suits scenes of maintaining and preparing an aircraft.
Wash the parts clean of any mold release agent residue, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend a primer and brush painting with shading of the fabrics and the skin. Set the figure into a scene beside a model, for example while servicing the aircraft.
