A set of colored self-adhesive 3D decals for the interior of the cockpit of a model of the American P-38J Lightning fighter in 1:72 scale from the Italeri or the Academy kit. The detail is printed on a flexible film with fine relief, so the instrument panel and the side panels gain a three-dimensional look with no use of photo-etched parts or resin.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was a twin-engine fighter of a characteristic twin-boom layout. The P-38J version brought improved cooling with its typical chin intakes and was among the most widespread and best performing variants deployed in Europe and in the Pacific. The roomy cockpit is a rewarding place for detailed work.
Cut the individual parts out of the sheet, lift them off the backing and place them in the appropriate spot in the cockpit; the flexible film adapts to the shape of the plastic. For better adhesion degrease the surfaces and use a drop of water-based glue or a decal softener if needed. The pre-printed colors speed up the finishing of the interior.
This is a set of decals for an interior, not a kit. The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the package.
