The two-sheet set 1:16 Paint Mask Set WWII 1946 German Disc Camo (Different Size Roundels) offers discs graduated from eight to twenty-two millimeters.

Graduated diameters are the main asset of this variant: the smaller discs fill the narrow places by the hatches and the tools, the largest cover the free areas of the sides and the rear. Alternating sizes comes across more naturally than a uniform dimension and matches better the way the pattern was applied in the field. The package consists of two sheets of thin semi-transparent tape, which can be used again after removal.
Dots scattered over the base coat were meant to imitate the play of light under tree canopies on the equipment. A machine in an ambush position thus merged with the edge of a wood from a distance and its outline fell apart. The manufacturer recommends the set for the heavy types of the end of the war starting with the King Tiger, and further for the projected machines of the E-series, which stayed at the drawing stage. In a large scale it also stands out that on the real equipment the discs often overlapped and nowhere formed a neat grid.
It pays to start from the largest diameters and work toward the smallest, as otherwise free areas will be left without large discs. Keep the density even over the whole model and do not try to create clusters. Apply the paint in two light layers and take the masks off before the finish has fully hardened. Keep the leftover parts from the sheet; they will come in handy for repairs.
