A compact sheet of masks for the F-22 Raptor fighter in 1:48 scale. It contains parts for the long frameless canopy from both sides, for the glass of the head-up display and for the wheel rims.
Responsibility details are not available.
A single sheet of pre-cut stencils which covers the whole one-piece cockpit canopy of the F-22 fighter from the outside and the inside, the glass of the head-up display and the rims of the landing gear wheels. It serves for painting a model; the aircraft and the paints are acquired separately.
The F-22 was the first production fifth-generation aircraft: it joined low radar reflectivity with supersonic flight without afterburner and with thrust vectoring in the vertical plane. The flat shape of the rear is a direct consequence of the effort to suppress the thermal signature. Production ended after roughly two hundred examples, so the Raptor is rare even in the sky.
The cockpit is closed by one piece of clear plastic without a dividing frame, which for masking is good and bad news at the same time: there are few frames, but they are long and curved, so they are cut freehand miserably. The stencil is semi-transparent and pliable, so you lay it precisely where it belongs. Besides the frames you also get a small part for the glass of the head-up display. Before you lay the stencil down, rid the clear part of grease from your fingers; the paint then holds evenly and the edge stays sharp.
Acquire the aircraft and the paints separately.
